There is a small, streamline crack, from age, on the fretboard(top- 6th fret) Also, a small crack at the 7th fret, where the neck meets the body.
I just don't know based on the numbers in side the guitar how to pinpoint which manufacturer. Plays like a dream! This parlor guitar is Americ an-made by one of the companies: Harmony. This is a nice little vintage parlor guitar that. I've never seen another Lyon and Healy 7 String.Up for a uction is a 1930s Vintage Parlor Acoustic Guitar Harmony Washburn Regal Lyon Healy 19 Fret. Please remember this banjo is over 100 years old, not perfect- but all things considered, it's in great shape. This is not deep and hasn't moved, but wanted to mention it. I want to mention (and to be observed in a picture included that what appears to be an old very hairline crack on the back of the neck by the heel.
Aftermarket tuning pegs, skin head in great shape, ready to play. This doesn't effect the playability at all, only adds story to its journey. Someone years ago wrote notes on the fretboard, which can be seen in a couple of the pics. This would be great to record with, when it gets resonating the word "thunderous" comes to mind. I have it tuned so the two extra bass strings resonate sympathetically (ex: tuned in double C, the bass strings are tuned to G and C). I believe most of these were intended to be shipped to the UK, as 7 strings were more popular there.Ī Very nice instrument that produces a sound like no other.
